INVEST IN PEOPLES’ CAPITAL OF ANDHRA PRADESH ‘AMARAVATI’

Post bifurcation of the state, Andhra Pradesh government has declared “Amaravati” as the new capital for the new state of Andhra Pradesh. The development of the New Capital City will be on a green field site of 217.23 sq km located on the banks of river Krishna spread across Thullur, Mangalagiri & Tadepalli mandalsof Guntur district within the Capital Region. The Capital Region comprises of an extent of 8,603.32 Sq.km straddling on both sides of the Krishna River in both Krishna and Guntur districts.

“Amaravati” is envisioned to be the “People’s Capital of Andhra Pradesh” and pioneer Smart City of India. It will capitalize the rich heritage and culture possessed by the region and utilize it to create a unique identity to serve as an economic powerhouse and administrative center by creating a range of jobs, affordable and quality homes to all its residents and providing high quality urban services in line with global quality of life standards.

Being a Greenfield development, sustainability and efficient management of resources will form another important pillar of the City that will be supported by maintaining the clean and green character. The project will serve to create jobs for existing resident villagers by upgrading their skills, as well as provide high-tech and knowledge based industry jobs to be globally competitive.

Economic development of Amaravati city is expected to create 1.5 million jobs by 2050, with over 45% through direct employment.City’s positioning as an economic powerhouse will structurally move economic activities in the region towards more knowledge driven trades.
