About Amaravati Bonds, 2018


The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) was established under the APCRDA Act, 2014 (Act 11 of 2014), an act to provide for the declaration of the new capital area for the state of the Andhra Pradesh and establishment of the Andhra Pradesh capital region development authority for the purposes of planning, coordination, execution, supervision, financing, funding and for promoting and securing the planned development of the capital region development area, undertaking the construction of the new capital region development area, undertaking the construction of the new capital for the state of Andhra Pradesh and for managing and supervising urban services in the new capital area and for matters ancillary thereto.


APCRDA is regulated by an authority constituted vide Government Orders and has passed Resolution Nos. 21/2015 dated 28.08.2015 and 86/2016 dated 07.12.2016 for raising ₹2000 crore through private placement of bonds backed by Government Guarantee, vide G.O. Ms. No. 65 dated 08.02.2018 issued by the MA & UD (CRDA-II) Department


APCRDA bonds are rated by CRISIL, Acuité Ratings & Research, and Brickwork Ratings, and are listed on the BSE platform.

DSRA An amount equivalent to total debt servicing obligation of the outstanding bonds for the next 2 quarters to be maintained by the issuer in the DSRA account on rolling basis.
BSA APCRDA undertakes to transfer 1.5 times the amount of debt servicing requirement for the ensuing quarter and transfer any amounts due but unpaid on the bonds in respect of any previous quarter/ period at the start of each quarter to APCRDA Bonds Servicing Account. The amount to be transferred will be from its own revenue sources.
